Uncle Wm. Bradshaw, who had been a confirmed invalid at the home of his son, Stephen, where he has and is being tenderly cared for, was lightly stricken with paralysis on last Thursday, and this with his former ailments placed him in a very unfavorable condition. He has however rallied to some extent, and his life may still be prolonged.

The death of Wm. Bradshaw, a pioneer of this township, occurred on Sunday at the home of his son, S. A. Bradshaw south of town, where he had been tenderly cared for during a number of months of extreme suffering. His condition has been reported from time to time in the items from this place and his death at this time is not a surprise.

The funeral services were held from the M. E. church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

The deceased in his life was an honest, industrious and highly respected man, a good husband, good father, good friend, good neighbor, good citizen and a good Christian. At his death he was in his seventy-sixth year and had been a resident of Madison county almost a half century.

Uncle William Bradshaw, who for the past year has been confined to his room and bed the greater part of the time at his son, Stephen's, died at 11 o'clock Sunday morning. His death was expected for some time owing to his enfeebled and serious condition.

Mr. Bradshaw was a man whom to know was but to admire for his many sterling qualities. Having resided so many years on the "old home" just a quarter of a mile east of where he died he had builded up for himself a reputation for honesty and integrity.

He leaves beside a host of friends to mourn his loss one son, Stephen, and a daughter, Nannie, now Mrs. R. W. Phipps, and an invalid wife.
