James Allen, of Douglas, died suddenly on Tuesday of last week at the residence of his son-in-law, Emanuel Henry. He formerly lived in this county and owned a large tract of land this side of Earlham. He moved to Nebraska and came back on a visit about six weeks ago.

Note: James Allen was buried in the Worthington cemetery.
