MRS. CALDWELL DIES AT 91 YEARS

Mrs. Frank Caldwell of Winterset, a resident of Madison county since 1914, died Wednesday, April 22, at Memorial Hospital here. She was 91 years of age.

Mrs. Caldwell was the former Elizabeth Armstrong, born at Petersburg on Aug. 2, 1878, a daughter of James T. and Susan Combs Armstrong. She was married there on Feb. 13, 1901, to Frank Caldwell. They came to Madison county in 1914.

Mrs. Caldwell was a member of a family of 13 children, 11 of whom preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First United Methodist church of Winterset.

Mrs. Caldwell's husband died in 1956. She is survived by two sons, Clark R. Caldwell of Iowa City and Woodrow A. Caldwell of LaMesa, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Virgie Cupp of East St. Louis, Ill. Mrs. Caldwell's daughter, Mrs. Wilson Vanatta, died in 1936.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the First United Methodist church of Winterset, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Everett K. Burham. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
