OBITUARY

Monday, Aug. 13th, Wm. Ferral bade farewell to all that is earthly, after a long and painful illness of more than five months. He has been a citizen of Winterset since 1866, and was 58 years of age. He was a man of many excellent traits of character, and one whose industry, integrity and devoted attachment to his family, was best known to those who were most acquainted with him.

He leaves a wife and one child, who have the sympathy of many friends in their sad bereavement.

His remains were taken to Patterson for burial, beside his two little girls, who are "gone before" him to the Spirit land.

Note: Cemetery records indicate his two daughters were buried at the Montpelier cemetery, so one would assume he was buried there also.
