Coordinator's note: This newspaper entry is believed to be in error in date and middle initial. There was a William H. Clampitt living in Madison County but he died in Michigan in 1893. There is, however, a William J. Clampitt, son of William F. & Elizabeth Clampitt, who died July 19, 1859 and is buried in the Worthington Cemetery. It is this child that we believe the article refers to.
