The family of Mr. Fleck, of Ohio township has been sorely afflicted of late, one child of ten years died on Thursday and another has been at death's door. Scarlet fever that direst of all life to which flesh is heir to the disease.

Note: "Thursday" was February 8th. Loretta A. Fleck, a child of John & Mary J. Fleck of Ohio Township, lies in the Hartman Cemetery, died Feb. 8, 1882, 9y 3m 16d. Although it is unusual for a gravestone to have an erroneous year of death, this appears to be the case.
