page 1DEATH OF MISS SARAH W. KINSMAN
Suddenly and unexpectedly came death's angel on the early morn of last Monday to the home of Mr. D. Kinsman and took away his daughter Miss Sarah W.
For some years past she had not enjoyed good health, but had attended to her ordinary duties at home until last Saturday evening. On Saturday night she was taken so suddenly worse that she lost consciousness on Sabbath morning and never rallied. So passes away to the better land, a kind, faithful daughter, sister and friend.
She was a native of Williamstown, Vermont. Came to Illinois in 1845, to Iowa in 1866, and has resided here ever since. Some seventeen years ago she made a public profession of her faith in the Saviour and has maintained a consistent, Christian life, manifesting a deep interest in the cause of Christ, being a valuable member of the Woman's Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church of Winterset, a generous contributor and a faithful attendant. She leaves reliable evidence to cheer the hearts of stricken friends.
Note: Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
