MRS. BODWELL, 70, DIES AT DENVER

Funeral services for Verna Bodwell were held last Wednesday afternoon from the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.

Mrs. Bodwell died Aug. 2, at the Porter Memorial Hospital in Denver, Colo. She was 70 years of age.

A daughter of Bert and Ella Jackson Epperson, she was born at Winterset on Nov. 27, 1899. She had lived her life-time in this community, except for the past three years in Earlham. She was visiting in Denver at the time of her fatal illness.

She was married to George Irwin Bodwell on May 17, 1915, at Cass county, Texas. Mr. Bodwell died March 31, 1962. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Grant, Norman and Melvin, and by two sisters.

Surviving are four sons, Herman Bodwell of Englewood, Colo., Wallace Bodwell of Westminster, Colo., Robert Bodwell of Earlham, and the Rev. S. D. Bodwell of Knoxville, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Lattig of Denver, Colo., 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Also three brothers, Lloyd Epperson of Pueblo, Colo., Nels Epperson of McCaskill, Ark., Harvey Epperson of Salem, Mo.; and one sister, Mrs. Goldie Claussen of Salem, Mo.

Officiating at the funeral last Wednesday was Elder L. M. Hienfer, of the Seventh Day Adventist church. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
