Mrs. R. C. Boyd died last Friday of consumption after a long illness. It would seem as though misfortune had a particular spite against Mr. Boyd in thus following him. He is again left alone with several small children who need a mother's care and attention. He has the sympathy of all who know him, in this his sad bereavement.

Boyd - in this city, Mrs. Mary J. Boyd, consort of R. C. Boyd.
Deceased was born February 23, 1857, and died on the 16th day of April, 1880, aged twenty-three years, one month and twenty-four days. Her affliction had been painful and protracted, but she endured it all with much patience. She was tenderly cared for by her affectionate, loving companion, a kind and tender mother, and other dear friends. For all this waiting and watching, so willingly and faithfully bestowed, they shall receive their reward. May her affectionate and loving companion, and tender mother, and all sorrowing friends and relatives, take comfort in the prospect of meeting Mary J. in her happy celestial home. Her life was one of innocence, and in conversation with her dear mother and others, during the few days previous to her death, she expressed her willingness and preparation to depart and be with Jesus. A large audience gave evidence of respect for the deceased and sympathy for the sorrowing. Funeral services by the writer.
F. W. Jellison.
