October 3, 1907Bazle Jordan was born in Noble county, Ohio on Aug. 6, 1831 and died at the home of his son, F. M. Jordan, near Winterset, Sept. 26th, 1907, aged 76 years, 1 month and 20 days. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Booher of Guernsey county, Ohio, March 1852.
Two years later moved to Illinois, where they lived 30 years in Henry, Ford and Champaign counties. From there they moved to Nodaway county, Mo., where he lived until the last two years, which time has spent with his son here. His wife died Oct. 17, 1899. His death was due to lingering comsumption and heart trouble.
Funeral services were held at the old school Baptist church 1 mile north east of the city. (Buried at Primitive Baptist cemetery)
The services were conducted by Elder M. E. Young of Milo, Iowa. The deceased was a member of the old school Baptist church for 34 years and a strong defender of that doctrine.
