Paul R. Lenocker, the son of Guy and Ora Morford Lenocker, was born September 1, 1903 in Madison County, Iowa. He passed away suddenly at his home the morning of April 5, 1980.
Paul grew up on the family farm south of Dexter in Penn township. He graduated in 1924 from Dexter High School where he had enjoyed playing baseball and football.
On March 6, 1926 Paul was united in marriage to Thelma Fuller at the Methodist parsonage in Dexter. Two sons blessed their marriage. Paul was active in farming in the Dexter area and also did some carpentry work.
Paul enjoyed playing baseball with the Dexter Town Team for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dexter. He also served on the Dexter School Board for several years.
In 1968 Thelma and Paul retired to Dexter. Paul remained active by helping others with their farm work.
Survivors include his loving wife Thelma; their sons, Richard of Newton and Kenneth of Dexter; four grandsons, David, Donald, Dana and Michael; one granddaughter, Michelle and her husband Kelly Forshier; one brother, Ray of Dexter; three sisters, Mrs. Fern Algreen of Dexter, Mrs. Mary Shields of Alexandria, Virginia and Mrs. Ruth Loftus of Aurora, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one who died in infancy, Fred and Jasper and one grandson, Chris.
