OBITUARY

Grace Eva Romback Carlson passed away on Sept. 30, 1970 at the age of 79. She was born in Warren Co., near Indianola, July 4, 1891 to her parents Frank and Matilda Romback. She attended school at St. Charles, and Drake University in Des Moines; and taught in the Madison and Warren County country schools.

On July 3, 1915 she was married to Francis Carlson, and moved to the farm for her life-time. She was active in the church life of her community. Two children were born to this marriage, Arlene and Bill.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, one sister, and one brother.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Francis, of Truro, a son, Bill and wife Betty of Clearwater, Florida, a daughter Arlene Murfin and husband DeWitt of Phoenix, Arizona, two grandsons, Craig Carlson and Richard Murfin, two granddaughters, Virginia and Jeanette Murfin, and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Ray of St. Charles, and Mrs. Mary Morrow, of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of relatives and friends.

(Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.)
