Douglas Doings

The scarlet fever is raging on the north side of the river. A daughter of Jas. Leach is very sick with it. Mr. Jno. Leach's daughter, Jennie, aged 11, died on the 9th. Two more of his daughters are very sick, and one is not expected to recover. Mr. Leach is also bedfast; with rheumatism, I believe.

Note: Jennie (Juanita) was buried in the Bennett cemetery.
