J. D. Brassfield, who used to live in Union township, but who has lived in Kansas the last three years commited (committed) suicide at his Kansas home about two weeks ago by hanging himself to a tree near his home.

He was perhaps, somewhat insane. He was sent to the insane asylum when a young man, and has been troubled somewhat at times since. We are indebted to W. W. Gentry for this information.
