Information has been received of the violent death of Eli Stingley, of Andrew county, Missouri, formerly of this county. He was kicked to death by a horse. He went to the stable to curry and feed and was found in the stall of one of the horses so badly kicked or stamped that he was almost unrecognizable.

He had been at the stable about three hours when discovered. He was subject to fainting fits, and it is thought he may have fainted and fell, and while lying prostrate was stamped or kicked to death.
