The happy hereafter where the good and true after this life make their home is now the "rest" of Mrs. Howell. She was buried Sunday afternoon and followed to earth's last resting place by a large concourse of mourning friends.
Mrs. Howell has been for many weary months a sufferer, waiting resignedly and patiently for the message which would bid her leave earth's sorrows for heaven's joys. It came-none too soon for her, but earlier than her loved ones would have had it. We are lothe to part with those we love, even though it be as in this case "their gain."
Mrs. Howell was a true wife, an affectionate mother, a kind sympathetic friend, ever ready to soothe suffering and cheer on the distressed. Lively and cheerful in disposition she not only made home happy, but that larger circle to which she was ever welcome. She will be missed by many.
In common with the whole community we tender our condolence to the bereaved. "Not lost, but gone before." She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge of this place.
