Doris Simmerman, 93, died August 12, 2007 in Boone, IA. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 16, Staves United Methodist Church, East 28th and East Madison Ave., Des Moines.

Doris was born in Madison County and graduated from Winterset High School in 1932. On June 25, 1936, she married Orval Simmerman.

Doris was a member of the Winterset United Methodist Church and active in various organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Lyle Johnson.

Doris is survived by her sons, Francis (Martha Jo) of Boone, Donald (Rose) of Novato, CA., her daughter, Delores (Rev. R. D. Streeter) of Des Moines, ten grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside Committal service at 2 p.m. at the IOOF Cemetery in Indianola. Visitation one hour prior to services.
