Thursday, March 20, 1908Isaac Allen, a former resident of this county who has been residing in Council Bluffs for the past 25-30 years, died last Saturday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Little near Elm Grove. The remains were shipped to Council Bluffs of Monday of this week for burial. He came back here some 5 or 6 weeks ago to visit relatives and friends.

Sunday, March 16, 1908Isaac Allen, aged 68 years and 6 months, died of pneumonia March 14, at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Little in Peru, Nebr., where he had been visiting. Mr. Allen resided at 2426 South avenue. He leaves a widow, one daughter, Mrs. Ellen Gerard, and four sons, John, Obio, Henry and Charles Allen, all of this city.
The body was brought to Council Bluffs for burial. It arrived yesterday and was taken to the Woodring chapel. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, from the residence of Obio Allen on Woodbury avenue, Rev. C. G. Rice officiating, and cemetery.

Uncle Isaac Allen died March 15th at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Little, near Elm Grove, two of his sons came in from Omaha and shipped his body to that place.
