Funeral services for Mrs. Walker McCleeary, aged 58, former Winterset resident, were held at the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines, Wednesday, September 22nd, and burial was made in the Highland Memorial Garden.
Mrs. McCleeary was the former Marie Criss, daughter of Avery and Laura Criss; she was born in Winteret July 2, 1896 and lived here until her marriage to Mr. McCleeary, also of Winterset, August 28, 1916. The family has lived in Des Moines since that time.
She is survived by her husband and their five sons; Rodney and Donald at home, Philip of Norwalk, California, Forest of Ankeny and James McCleeary who is stationed at San Diego with the U. S. navy. She also leaves a brother, Roy Criss of Newton and a sister, Mrs. Wray Hendershott of Sacramento, California.
