FINAL RITES HELD FOR MRS. LANDIS

Mrs. Thomas C. Landis of Des Moines, former Madison county resident, died at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines, Sunday evening November 7th at the age of 64 years. Mrs. Landis died of a coronary thrombosis after a week's illness at the hospital.

Mrs. Landis was the former Beulah Baker and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Baker of Peru, pioneer residents of this county. She lived in Peru, until her marriage, then moved to Des Moines where they have resided the past 47 years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Landis were held at Dunn's funeral home in Des Moines at 1 o'clock this afternoon and burial was in the Masonic Cemetery in that city.

She was a member of the Grace Methodist church and a past counselor of the United Commercial Travelers Auxiliary, No. 69.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Landis is survived by their son, Milan W. Landis and a daughter, Mrs. Russell Fraser, both of Des Moines. She also leaves two sisters; Mrs. John Frey of Des Moines, and Mrs. Gertrude Fenimore of Winterset; two brothers, Grover Baker of Winterset and Cloyd Baker of West Des Moines; and three grandchildren and an aunt Mrs. George Black of Winterset.

Mrs. Landis, 64, Rites Wednesday

Services for Mrs. Thomas C. Landis, 64, of 1812 Forty-forth st., will be a 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunn Funeral Home, with burial in Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Landis died of a coronary thrombosis Sunday evening at the Iowa Methodist Hospital, where she had been a patient one week.

A native of Peru, Ia., Mrs. Landis had lived in Des Moines 47 years. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church, and a past counselor of the United Commercial Travelers Ladies Auxiliary No. 69.

Surviving besides her husband, are a son, Milan W. of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Russell Fraser of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. John Frey of Des Moines, and Mrs. Gertrude Fennimore of Winterset; two brothers, Grover Baker of Winterset, and Cloyd Baker of West Des Moines; and three grandchildren.
