DIED

STEELE--At the residence of her father, in Webster township, on the 24th inst., Miss E. A. Steele, aged 16 years, 7 months, 6 days.

The deceased was an amiable girl; greatly beloved by all who knew her. Her death was sudden. On the evening of the day before she died she complained of a pain in her head, and in a few hours she was a corpse. A year ago the deceased united with the Methodist church during a series of meeting conducted by Rev. F. R. Morey, by whom her funeral sermon was preached from the text: 1st Samuel, 29th chapter, 3d verse--"There is but a step between me and death."
