MRS. I. W. RINARD

Almira Jane Clay was born in Washington county, Ohio, September 16, 1849, and died at her home in Madison county, Iowa, March 7, 1907, aged 58 years, 5 months and 19 days. She was taken on the death of her mother by Mrs. Minerva Nicholson at the age of three years, with whom she lived until she was grown. With her foster parents she came to Iowa in the spring of 1854.

She was married to I. W. Rinard September 17, 1866 and to this union were born ten children four of whom have preceded her in death and six of whom remain to mourn her loss. Her husband, one daughter, Mary Kitchell, five sons, Wilber, Corban, Bert, Ray and Wesley.

At an early age she was converted and united with the Methodist church at Fairview on the DeSoto charge, where she has been a faithful and consistent member all through the years to her death.

For the past three years she has been a great sufferer but through it all has borne her suffering patiently and without complaint. She was a loving wife, kind mother, and an earnest church worker, and as such will be missed by dear ones and friends and neighbors.

The funeral was conducted at the Fairview church by Rev. F. L Watkins and the remains laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery.
