Page 1MRS. EMMA HUNTER OF SHARPSBURG DIES
LORIMOR-Mrs. Emma C. Hunter, mother of Mrs. Pearl Burns of Lorimor, died July 12 at her home in Sharpsburg. She was 73 years of age.
Mrs. Hunter was the former Emma Catheryne Long. She was born in a log cabin in Page county April 20, 1879, and lived practically all her life in that county. She was an active worker in the Methodist church at Conway, with which she united more than 40 years ago, and later at Sharpsburg where she transferred.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Andrews of Chicago, Mrs. Pearl Burns of Lorimor and Mrs. Daisy Moore of Sharpsburg; three sons, Doudand of Vesta, Minn., Dale of Des Moines and Max of Eldon, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at Sharpsburg, July 14, in charge of the Rev. E. John Kess. Burial was made in Old Memory cemetery at New Market, a short distance from where she was born.
