EVERETT GARRETSON DIED HERE SATURDAY

Everett Garretson, a resident of this community practically all his life, died at a Winterset nursing home Saturday, Sept. 20. after several years of failing health. He was 76 years of age.

Mr. Garretson was the last surviving child of John and Elizabeth Garretson, and leaves no relatives in his immediate family.

He was in the ice business in Winterset and Des Moines for several years. The remainder of his life was spent as a farm worker in this community.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
