ANTHONY HORN OF WINTERSET DIES

Resident Here Past 15 Years Dies at Age of 69 Years

Anthony C. Horn, a resident of Winterset the last 15 years, died at his home Friday, Sept. 9, after years of failing health. Death resulted from a heart condition. He was 69 years of age.

Mr. Horn came to Winterset 15 years ago from Adair county. He was a native of Clinton county where he was born Nov. 6, 1885, a son of Criss and Anna Petterson. His parents were natives of Germany.

He was married 34 years ago at Greenfield to Nellie Witherall, who survives him. During his working years, he followed the trade of mason.

Two children preceded him in death. In addition to his wife, he leaves three children, Harry C. Horn, Winterset, Mrs. Ralph Duckworth, Jr. of Des Moines, and Robert Horn of Winterset; two brothers, John P. Horn of Cedar Falls and Theodore F. Horn of Stuart; a sister, Mrs. Clem Brandenberg of Menlo and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
