HAROLD W. GUYE DIED ON TUESDAY

Jefferson Township Resident Stricken by Fatal Heart Attack

Harold W. Guye, a well known resident of Jefferson township suffered a fatal heart attack this Tuesday morning. He was rushed to Memorial hospital in Winterset but died shortly after arriving there.

Mr. Guye was 59 years of age. He was a descendant of the pioneer Guye family in Union and Jefferson townships. He was born in Madison county, a son of James M. and Margaret Duff Guye and spent most of his life here.

His active years were spent in farming. As a young man he attended Iowa State college at Ames and was a veteran of military service. He was a member of Green-Rogers post of the American Legion in Winterset and the United Brethren church.

Mr. Guye never married. Nearest surviving relative is a brother, Clyde Guye of near Winterset with whom he resided.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset. The Rev. A. Beuerman, pastor of the United Brethren church will be in charge. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
