WILLIS G. WOODWARD DIES IN DES MOINES

Willis Gerald Woodward, youngest son of William S. and Delia McDole Woodward, was born near Delphi in Polk county August 3, 1877. He died July 30th at his home in Des Moines after a short illness.

At an early age he came with his family to Madison county and most of his early life was spent here.

In January 1903 he was united in marriage to June Danforth. They were the parents of three children, a son, Harold, passed away in 1906 at the age of two years.

In 1911 he and his family moved to Des Moines where he was employed as a baker his entire life as long as his health would permit.

Surviving are his wife, a son Donald, a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Perkins of Des Moines, a sister, Mrs. Ola Brainard of Delta, Iowa and four grandchildren, Judy, Garry and Marcia Perkins and Donald G. Woodward all of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held from the Anderson Home for Funerals Monday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Christian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
