WINTERS SERVICES HELD AT ST. CHARLES

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the St. Charles Methodist church for William S. Winters, long-time resident of that community, whose death occurred Saturday, April 30, at Broadlawns hospital in Des Moines.

Mr. Winters was 91 years of age at his death. He was a native of Parisville, N. Y., where he was born Oct. 12, 1863, a son of Solomon and Margaret Winters, and had lived in Madison county from 1911 to 1951. He was a carpenter and cabinet maker by trade, and was a member of the St. Charles Methodist church.

He was married Jan. 12, 1896, to Lottie E. Meyers, who preceded him in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Freestone of Des Moines, a son, Bruce M. Winters of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and six great granchildren.

(Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery)
