John Moore, Winterset

John W. Moore, 94, died May 29, 2005 at Winterset Care Center North.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Nettie Moore; his wife, Martha Frances; a brother, Edward; and two sisters, Beulah Barcus and Helen Bowers.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Moore of Phillipsburg, Kan., and Ronald Moore of Warsaw, Mo.; one daughter, Roberta Corlis of Winterset; and 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

Upon retiring from City Service Natural Gas Company in Kansas, John and Frances moved to Iola, Kan., where they were member of Calvary Methodist Church. He moved to Winterset in January 2005 and resided at Winterset Care Center North until his death.
