Lyle R. Macumber, 84 of Muskogee, Okla, died of a kidney ailment Wednesday at Eastgate Retirement Center there. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Des Moines of which he was a member. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery here.

Mr. Macumber was born in Macksburg and had lived in Des Moines all his life before moving to Muskogee a year ago. He was a manager with Allied Motor Parts and Roto-Rooter Corp. before retiring and an Army veteran of World War ll. He was a member of American Legion Veterans of Foreign Wars, Izaak Walton League, Knights of Columbus and Army Reserve Officer's Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two daughters, Judy Robinson of Stillwater, Okla., and Sue Coontz of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Southtown Funeral Home in Des Moines where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.
