James H. Dueling, 59, died Monday, May 26, at home of congestive heart failure. The body was cremated. A "Celebration of Life" was held Saturday, June 21, at McLarens Funeral Chapel, 801 19th St., West Des Moines.

Jim was born Dec. 19, 1943 in Villisca. He was in the United States Marines from 1963 to 1966 in which he served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for Reames Foods for 29 years.

Jim is survived by his wife, Donna of 38 years; daughter, Carmen Dueling; son Shannon Dueling; and seven grandchildren, all of Des Moines. He also is survived by a brother, J. Max Cortner of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; and sisters, Joy Kinney of Iowa Falls, Jolene Schwery of St. Charles and Dixie Hansen of Independence.

Jim will be greatly missed by his family and by the many friends whose lives he touched.
