MRS. T. J. CRAWFORD DIED IN DES MOINES

Mrs. Terrence J. Crawford, a long-time resident of Scott township, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, at a hospital in Des Moines. She was 72 years of age and had been ill two weeks.

Mrs. Crawford was the former Ada Carrie Hibbs, daughter of Edward and Ada Hibbs and was born at Rockwell City on July 12, 1885. She was married Aug. 6, 1903 to T. J. Crawford. They started their married life on a farm north of Mitchellville. Later they farmed for many years in Scott township of Madison county, but for the last three and a half years their home had been at Mitchellville again.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, James Crawford of Bondurant and Donald T. Crawford of Peru; four daughters, Mrs. Fannie Reynolds of Lewistown, Mont., Mrs. Mary Blagg of Winthrop Harbor, Ill., Mrs. Alyce Craig of Mitchellville, and Mrs. Dorothy Berkey of Colfax; 20 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Mae Hersberger of Knoxville and Mrs. Sylvia Rees of Tampa, Fla.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Mitchellville Christian church, conducted by the pastor, K. E. Hayden. Burial was made in the Mitchellville cemetery.
