7-Year-Old Girl Victim of Accident in Des Moines Last Week
Barbara Jean Griffith, 7-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Griffith of Des Moines, and granddaughter of Mrs. Edna Griffith of Winterset, died at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
Funeral services were held from Lilly's funeral home in Des Moines last Thursday, and burial was made in the McDonald cemetery near here, where short services were held.
The child's death was the result of a tragic accident. Near surviving relatives in addition to her parents are her grandmother, Mrs. Edna Griffith, her grandfather, Ed Houseman, three uncles, Paul, Frank and Wayne Griffith, and two aunts, Mary and Kathryn Griffith.
