Death of Mrs. Charles Crane

Mrs. Achsah A. Crane, a resident of Dexter for the past 56 years, died at her home there Monday morning February 24th at the age of 89 years. Mrs. Crane had been in good health until about a month ago, when she fell and broke her hip. Since then she had suffered intensely and other complications developed causing her death.

Mrs. H. F. Ilgenfritz of Winterset is a granddaughter of Mrs. Crane. The deceased was born in Girard, Ohio, and would have been 90 years of age had she lived until June. She came to Dexter in 1874 and was married to the late Charles Crane, April 6, 1876. Mr. Crane died March 16, 1928.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Crane home in Dexter, and burial will be made in the Dexter cemetery. She is survived by four children; George Crane of Dexter; Ernest B. of Seattle; Ralph M. Crane of Holstein; and Mrs. Homer R. Miller of Des Moines.
