William J. Means, a former resident of Madison county, died at his home in the Pleasant Ridge District in Oregon, December 11, after a long illness. Mr. Means was born near Van Meter in Jefferson township, November 13, 1869. He moved to Oregon in 1891.
He was married to Miss Addie Meeker March 12, 1900 and they were the parents of four children, who with the mother survive him. He also leaves two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services and burial were made in Oregon.
