May 26, 1954GLEN WILLCOX DIES AT VETERANS HOSPITAL
Glen Willcox, a well known Winterset resident, died Tuesday evening at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He was 62 years of age and had been in failing health for some time. (d. 5-25-1954)
Mr. Willcox was born south of Winterset, a son of Grant and Amanda (Pomeroy) Willcox. He was a veteran of World War I. (He served as a Pvt in Co C 88th Infantry).
Nearest surviving relatives are two sisters, Mrs. Fern Fleming of Scott township and Mrs. Augusta Mahan of South township.
Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home with burial in the Union Chapel cemetery.
