BENJAMIN JONES DIES AT WINTERSET

Benjamin F. Jones, a resident of the St. Charles community for the past 18 years, died Friday Jan. 1 at the Madison County Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 75 years of age.

Mr. Jones was a native of Polk county, where he lived until moving to St. Charles. He was a retired farmer and had been in ill health for the past three years.

Surviving are his wife; three step-daughters, Mrs. Ella Burg of Gordon, Nebr., Mrs. Mamie Haynes of St. Charles and Mrs. June Mathews of Truro; a sister, Mrs. G. W. Oberender of Des moines; and two brothers, Orville and Bruce Jones, both of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Monday from Hamilton's Funeral home in Des Moines and burial was made in the Elm Grove cemetery
