FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN OKLAHOMA

Mrs. Catherine Hall, a native of the Irish settlement in Madison county, died Friday July 2 at a hospital in Shawnee, Okla., according to word received here this week.

Mrs. Hall was the former Catherine Morris and was the last surviving member of that family. She was a sister of the late Joseph Morris of the Irish settlement.

Mrs. Hall was 77 years of age at her death. She and her husband, W. J. Hall, moved from Iowa to Oklahoma in 1906. They lived at Tecumseh until 1912 when they moved to Shawnee. Her husband died in 1953.

She leaves six sons, Bob, Maurice,Edward, George and Thomas, all of Oklahoma and Mike of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services were held July 6 from St. Benedict's Catholic church in Shawnee, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Claude Sons. Burial was made in Calvary cemetery.
