Wednesday, September 14, 1938D. W. SAYRE SUCCUMBED TUESDAY IN MINNESOTA
D. W. Sayre, a native of the Elm Grove neighborhood of this county, died Tuesday at Franklin, Minn., where he had lived for many years. He was 79 years of age.
Mr. Sayre is well known in this county, particularly around St. Charles where he was a 50-year member of the Masonic lodge. He was the father of Joe Sayre of Douglas township, and the uncle of Lorin Sayre, county superintendent of schools.
He is survived by his wife, who was the former Senna O'Dell, and three sons and two daughters.
