MRS. ELIZABETH LOVE DIES AT MACKSBURG

80 Year Old Resident Falls Victim of Heart Trouble Last Week

Mrs. Elizabeth Love, long-time resident of Macksburg, died at her home there last Monday night, July 25th, at the age of 80 years. Mrs. Love had only been ill for a short time, with heart trouble.

Mrs. Love was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Rowe of Macksburg. She was born in Davis county but came to Madison county with her parents, when she was a small child, and has since made this community her home.

She was married to W. P. Love who owned and operated a general store in Macksburg for many years. Mr. Love preceded her in death, dying February 24, 1922. Two daughters also preceded her in death, Ethel, in infancy, and Mrs. Ona Williams of Fontanelle. She leaves three sons and a daughter, C. W. Love of Wheeling, West Virginia, Eugene Love, and Mrs. F. D. Ross of Macksburg, and Clarence Love of Winterset. She also leaves her brother, Al Rowe of Macksburg and two sisters, Mrs. Della Glenn of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Lilla Brady of Denver, Colo.

The Rev. M. B. Summerbell conducted her funeral services at the Methodist church in Macksburg last Thursday afternoon and burial was made in the Moon cemetery.

Elizabeth Rowe was born February 28, 1858, at Drakesville, and departed this life July 25, 1938, at her home in Macksburg.

On December 22, 1878, she was united in marriage to W. P. Love of Macksburg. To this union were born six children, Clyde of Wheeling, West Virginia, Jean and Mrs. Frank Ross of Macksburg, Clarence of Winterset. Mrs. R. H. Williams and Ethel, preceded her in death.

Mr. Love preceded her in death February 24, 1922.

Mrs. Love was a faithful member of the Methodist church in Macksburg. She was the last charter member of the Womans Relief corps of Macksburg.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children, one brother, A. H. Rowe of Macksburg, two sisters, Mrs. Della Glenn of Oklahoma City, and Lilla Brady of Denver, Colo. Ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Macksburg Methodist church July 28, 1938, conducted by the Rev. M. D. Summerbell. Interment was made in the Moon cemetery.
