MRS. ROSS JAMISON VICTIM OF STROKE

Died Early Wednesday As She Was Being Taken to Hospital

Mrs. Ross Jamison of Lincoln township died while she was being taken to the Winterset hospital Wednesday morning after suffering a stroke of apoplexy at her home Tuesday afternoon. She was 48 years of age.

Mrs. Jamison was stricken while at home alone, her husband being in town at the time. She never regained consciousness. She had been in poor health for several years, but had been improving recently and was thought to be much better.

She and her husband were married seven years ago and had lived in Lincoln township since that time. She was a member of the United Presbyterian church.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a sister, Stella; three brothers, John and Will, of near Booneville, and Charles of California.

No funeral arrangements had been made as the Madisonian went to press Wednesday.

Mrs. Minnie May Burgett McMichael Jamison, daughter of Samuel and Laurisea R. Rush Burgett, was born in Lee township, Madison County, April 2nd, 1890. She died at the farm home south of Winterset, January 26, 1938, at the age of 48 years.

Her girlhood was spent on the farm near Booneville, Iowa. On September 10th, 1910, she was married to James R. McMichael of Patterson. Mr. McMichael died from a fall on October 26th, 1928. On January 15th, 1931, she was married to Ross Renwick Jamison. A child of the first marriage died at birth in May, 1916.

Raised in a godly home, she attended church and Sunday school from childhood. In young womanhood she united with the Methodist church of Booneville. She was always active in the church nearest her home in various localities. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Presbyterian church of Winterset, though she attended the United Presbyterian church with her husband in recent years.

She was faithful, loving, and kind to everyone and was greatly beloved by all. The tender sympathy of many goes to her bereaved husband and relatives.

She leaves one sister and three brothers, Miss Stella A. Burgett, John W. Burgett and William L. Burgett, all of Booneville, and Charles A. Burgett of Courtland, Cal. She also leaves an aunt, Miss Anna Rush and an uncle, John B. Rush. Her parents and one brother preceded her in death many years ago.

The funeral was conducted from the United Presbyterian church in Winterset Friday afternoon at one o'clock.
