ELBERT WAMBOLD BURIED AT MACKSBURG

Funeral services were held from the Bickford Funeral home in Greenfield Tuesday, June 24, for Elbert L. Wambold, former Madison county resident, whose death had occurred June 21 in Des Moines. The Rev. M. D. Summerbell, assisted by the Rev. R.V. Pike, conducted the services. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery at Macksburg.

Mr. Wambold was 55 years of age at his death. He had been in failing health the last six months, and had undergone surgery about a week before his death.

He was born in Des Moines April 27, 1897, a son of William and Anna Wambold. His early life was spent in Adair County, and he later lived in Madison County.

In 1932 he was married to Ruth Leach of Macksburg, who survives him. He also leaves 10 children, Mrs. Darlene Apple of Hollydale, Calif., Mrs. Delores Dunkerson of Greenfield, and Donald , Kathleen, Russell, Karen, Larry, Sue and Rex, all at home. He also leaves his mother, who lives at Lorimor; two brothers, Ed Wambold of Osceola and George Wambold of Lorimor; and two sisters, Mrs. Della Stanley of Lorimor and Mrs. Laura Thompson of St. Louis, Mo. One daughter preceded him in death.
