FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN COLORADO

Mrs. C. C. Deardorff Passes; Had Lived Here Prior to 1913

Mrs. Ivor Schoenenberger of Peru and Mrs. Reva Orr of Winterset returned recently from Rifle, Colorado, where they had been called by the death of their mother, Mrs. C. C. Deardorff.

Mrs. Deardorff, the former Victoria Scott of this community, died August 9 in Rifle. She was a native of Madison county, living here until 1913 when she moved with her husband to Colorado.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children; Mrs. Schoenenberger and Mrs. Orr, Cecil Deardorff of Rifle, Virgil Deardorff of Denver and Hazel Deardorff, at home.

Funeral services were held August 11 at the Methodist church in Rifle and burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery there.

PERU HAPPENINGS

MRS. C. C. DEARDORFF DIED IN RIFLE, COLORADO ON AUGUST 9th

Mrs. I. E. Schoenenberger and sister, Mrs. Reva Orr of Winterset went to Rifle, Colorado, last week to attend the funeral of their mother, Mrs. C. C. Deardorff who died suddenly Monday morning, August 9. Mr. Schoenenberger took them to Murray and from there they went on the Zephyr.
