OSCAR WILLIAMS DIES IN OREGON

Oscar H. Williams, former Winterset restaurant operator and a long-time resident here, died Saturday, Nov. 1, at Salem, Oreg., according to word received here.

Mr. Williams was 78 years of age. His early life was spent in farming here. Later he moved to Winterset and engaged in the restaurant business, operating the old Corner cafe on the southeast corner of the square for many years. He moved to Oregon about 25 years ago.

Funeral services were to be held in Salem, and the body will be returned to Winterset for burial in the local cemetery. There will be graveside services there this Friday, at 1:30 p.m., in charge of the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Methodist church.
