JOHN F. WELCH DIES AT AGE OF 82 YEARS

John F. Welch, 82 a native of Madison county, died Saturday, July 5, at his home in Glendale, Calif. at the age of 82 years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James H. Welch, and as a young man worked here with his father, who was a carpenter.

He was married in 1903 to Maude Worthing of Winterset, and they moved to California. She died in 1930, leaving a son, Russell Welch.

In 1937 he was married to Laura Stevens of Glendale, who with the son, survives him. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Daggett of Winterhaven, Fla., and Mrs. Ed Orris of Winterset.

Private graveside services and burial were held July 8 at Forest Lawn Memorial park.
