LAST GREAT HARVEST

There is a Reaper Whose Name is Death and He Gathers Many Sheaves

Mrs. Josiah Banks was born in Park county, Indiana, May 15, 1840. Elizabeth Crawford, when fifteen years of age came to Madison county, Iowa, and on New Year’s Day, 1860, was married to Josiah Banks. She went at once to the farm in Scott township, where she has lived since, and where she died April 30, 1902.

She was the mother of nine children, all of whom are living as far as it is known, eight of them being present at the funeral. When eighteen years old she united with the Church of Christ in Winterset. Her life was a blessing to all her associates. The esteem in which she was held was shown by the large attendance at her funeral on Friday a. m., May 3, 1902, and who followed the remains to the Baptist cemetery, in Union township. The sermon was preached by Rev. L. E. Follnasbee, of Winterset.
