Former Resident Had Lived Near Pella For Past 16 Years
James E. Hildebrand, a resident of Madison county most of his life, died at Oskaloosa Monday, July 15, at the age of 68 years.
Mr. Hildebrand was born here June 26, 1889, a son of William H. and Nancy M. Hildebrand. He lived here until 1941, when he was married at Milan, Mo., to Fay DeWitt. Since then they had made their home on a farm near Pella.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Orie and Orson Hildebrand of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. Oral Johnson of Benson, Minn., and Mrs. Jess McAlister of Graybull, Wyo.; two brothers, Wiley Hildebrand of Des Moines and Lloyd Hildebrand of Casey; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in New Sharon, Wednesday with burial there.
