Thomas McManus, Jr., nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McManus of Des Moines, died at the Mercy hospital yesterday (Tuesday) morning. The youth had the measles and spinal meningitis developed Friday. He had been in an iron lung for three days and death came Tuesday morning.
He leaves his parents and a younger brother, Patrick. His mother was the former Wilda Leech of Winterset. Funeral services are to be held in Des Moines Thursday morning.
