C. R. BENTZ, SR. DIED WEDNESDAY

C. R. Bentz, Sr., of Fairfield, a former Winterset resident and father of Attorney C. R. Bentz, Jr., here, died early Wednesday morning at a hospital in Ottumwa.

Death was attributed to a heart attack, following a long illness. He was about 60 years of age.

Mr. Bentz is survived by his wife and four sons, Robert of Orlando, Fla., Richard, who is stationed with the army in California, James at home, and C. R. Bentz of Winterset.

Mr. Bentz is a former commander of the Winterset American Legion post. He was employed here as an engineer.
