JAMES GREENFIELD, Former Resident Dies

James Greenfield, who lived most of his life in Madison county, died last Friday, April 18, 1947, at his home in University Park, Ia. He was 88 years of age, and had been ill for the last 19 months.

A native of Illinois, Mr. Greenfield lived all of his married life as a farmer in Webster township, until leaving the farm in 1919, when he moved to University Park.

He is survived by his wife; three children, Mrs. R. J. Eling of Arkansas City, Kan., Mrs. E. L. Patterson of Winterset, and Moody Greenfield of Winterset; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Acheson of California.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Oskaloosa, and burial was made at University Park.
